Tiny Tots

Our Tiny tots class is a Mommy & Me style that will feature sing-along songs, coordination activities, and exciting props all while developing motor, cognitive, and social emotional skills. This fun, energetic class is designed for children ages 1.5 - 2 years old who are not ready to be with an instructor on their own.

Ballet/Tap/Tumbling

These Ballet/Tap/Tumbling classes are designed to bring out the dancer in your pre-school age child, emphasizing fun and learning. In our combo classes we strive to improve upon each child's motor skills and musicality while developing their self-expression and love for dance.

Pley Beginners - T-Ball

Play ball! This instructional T-ball program will teach your child the basic rules and fundamental skills of softball and baseball. Your child will learn to play catch, swing the bat, run the bases, and have a ton of fun doing it. At the end of each session, all players will get a chance to take their turn at bat in a short scrimmage game. All participants will receive a Pley Sports jersey and certificate. Pickleball Z Kid’s Clinic (Fridays, October)

Pickleball Z Kid’s Clinics are focused on training kids between the ages of 7-15, the shots, skills, and strategies of pickleball, in a fun and welcoming environment. Each session gives the players one on one drilling with Coach Zak, team drilling, as well as fun games like TripleZ and SquareOne to help the player improve while engaging in good sportsmanship. The session concludes with half an hour of coached games. All skill levels welcome. With the nature of Clinics equal time is spread amongst the participating players so beginners may not get the desired time necessary to learn the game. If your child is new to pickleball or would benefit from additional instruction, please inquire about private lessons. Ballet 2 works on both general knowledge of ballet as well as improving the overall strength and technique of each dancer. Special attention is given to developing leg, ankle and core strength. Dancers must have at least 1 year of prior ballet classes to enroll in this class. Instructor approval required.

John Landes Youth Ballet Folklorico

Dance the night away at the John Landes Recreation Center! Ballet Folklorico for youth will bring the community together through the expression of a world renown cultural dance. Some of the many benefits of enrolling:- Child will exercise both their body and brain which is beneficial for their physical and mental health.- Child will learn teamwork skills such as learning to communicate with others.- Child will learn how to use dance as well as their bodies as a vehicle for self-expression.

North County Children's Choir

A free choir for 2nd–8th graders who love to sing, rehearsing Monday evenings at Coastal Music Studios in Oceanside. Open to all students in North San Diego County.

Big Kid Boogie Time (music & movement with a grown-up)

A group music and movement class for kiddos 9 months to 3 years old and the adults who love them — instruments, singing, dancing, and themed curriculum each session. Fall session runs August 17–October 10.

Afterschool Program at JLRC

The John Landes Afterschool Program is designed for elementary-aged children (ages 6–12). Participants will enjoy a variety of fun activities, including crafts, games, and sports in a group setting. They'll also have the opportunity to learn new games and receive homework help from the dedicated Parks and Recreation staff. The program follows the Vista Unified School District calendar (Casita Elementary bell schedule). Walking pick-up available from Casita. Afterschool Program at MBRC

The Melba Bishop Afterschool Program is designed for elementary-aged children (ages 6–12). Participants will enjoy a variety of fun activities, including crafts, games, and sports in a group setting. They'll also have the opportunity to learn new games and receive homework help from the dedicated Parks and Recreation staff. *Van pickup is offered at the Melba Bishop After School Program. We will be using the vans to pick up at Nichols, Bonsall West. The cost for Van pickup is $150.00 per session. Space is limited *Walking pick up is offered for Melba Bishop After School Program at Del Rio at no cost.
