Lifeguard Training

This three day Blended Learning course is designed to provide qualified participants with the certifications required for employment as a lifeguard through a combination of online and in person instruction. There is a 23 hour online lesson portion that must be completed prior to the in person course dates. Upon completion, graduates will receive American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguard Training, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer (CPR-PRO); Automated External Defibrillation (AED); Bloodborne Pathogens Training; Prerequisite aquatic skills (300yd swim, surface dive with brick retrieval in 1min 40sec and treading water for two minutes with hands in armpits) must be demonstrated prior to registration; Testing provided free of charge at the William A Wagner Aquatic Center by appointment only.
